Disability Awareness Day 2026

On 3 December, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities is observed worldwide.

In 2026, the University of Zurich will once again mark this occasion for the second time with the Disability Awareness Day. The event aims to make disability visible, relatable, and tangible. In doing so, it sparks interest, creates opportunities for dialogue, and promotes understanding as well as visibility.

Students, staff members, and external guests will have the opportunity to engage with different forms of disability through simulations, workshops, and conversations. People with disabilities can obtain information about contact points and available support services.
