Glasbläserkurse

In the spring and fall semesters, we offer a glassblowing course for UZH researchers and technicians. Other employees of UZH, ETH or other state institutions are also admitted. The course lasts 12 times 1.5 hours and takes place weekly.

The course demonstrates the various properties and possibilities of glass in the laboratory. The course participant learns to blow objects out of glass. Glass can be worked hot or cold. They learn how to melt ampoules under vacuum. Theoretical knowledge about glass as a material is also taught.

We are happy to cater to the wishes of the participants. The course costs CHF 150 and is held in German.

The course fee is usually covered by your institute. Then you can choose the option "von UZH". If you pay yourself, you can choose the "Normal" option.
