On 16 May 2024, the world-famous artist SAYPE will intervene in everyday life on the Irchel campus of the University of Zurich with one of his monumental artworks. The occasion is the "Sustainability now!" lecture together with the non-profit organisation SOS MEDITERRANEE, winner of the Right Livelihood Award 2023.
SAYPE's eco-friendly artworks highlight contemporary societal challenges through everyday depictions and immense scales. This latest piece in Irchelpark draws attention to SOS MEDITERRANEE's life-saving work. The organisation uses its Ocean Viking ship to rescue people in distress in the Mediterranean and has been awarded the Right Livelihood Award for its work.
Experience the artwork's vernissage, followed by the "Sustainability now!" lecture by the Right Livelihood Centre of the University of Zurich and the Sustainability Team of the University of Zurich.
