This year's UZH Teaching Day will take place on Wednesday, 28 October 2026. Under the motto Bringing the World into Your Classroom: Experiences, Exchange & Inspiration, we invite everybody to an exciting keynote and interactive workshops.


Sessions may be attended individually. Bookings and cancellations are possible until 20 October at 23:59.

09:45-10:45 Keynote: Reaching international student audiences: from chalk-and-talk to a digital platform Drawing on her extensive experience in academic research and university teaching, Prof. em. Dr. Catherine Housecroft will share insights and perspectives on international teaching and the opportunities it offers for instructors and international collaboration in higher education. 11:00-12:00 Workshop: Go international @ UZH Interested in bringing more international perspectives into your teaching? This interactive workshop introduces different formats for internationalizing teaching and learning. Through discussion and reflection, participants will identify approaches that best fit their own courses and teaching goals. KOL-G-212
12:00-13:00 Networking Lunch Take the opportunity to connect with colleagues from across UZH while enjoying lunch. Throughout the break, information booths from various UZH units will showcase initiatives and resources that support international teaching. KOL-G-210
13:00-14:00 Presentations: Good Practice @ UZH What does international teaching look like in practice? In this session, UZH teachers present examples from their own teaching, highlighting different approaches and demonstrating how international learning experiences can be brought to life. KOL-G-212
14:15-15:15 Workshop: International Didactics International classrooms bring together a diversity of perspectives, experiences and ways of learning. This interactive workshop explores didactic approaches to teaching in diverse and international settings. Through practical activities and discussion, participants will reflect on how to create engaging and inclusive teaching experiences. KOL-G-212
15:15-15:45 Coffee Break Enjoy a coffee, continue conversations with fellow participants and visit the information booths to learn more about different UZH initiatives and resources. KOL-G-210
15:45-16:45 World Café: Bring Your Questions to
the Table
Join an open discussion on topics that matter to you. In this interactive session, participants will exchange experiences, discuss current challenges in international teaching and collaboratively develop ideas and solutions. KOL-G-212
