Anemic patients are a common yet complex challenge in emergency and critical care. Claudia Iannucci, DACVECC, Roberta Troia, DECVECC, and team provide a practical overview of the stabilization of anemic patients, principles of transfusion medicine, and advanced treatment options, including extracorporeal therapies in selected cases such as IMHA. Using clinical case examples, the session highlights appropriate in-practice management, monitoring priorities, and when referral to a specialty center is indicated. This seminar is designed for veterinarians seeking a structured approach to managing anemic emergencies.
