Summary Lecture «What is neuroinclusive design? Rethinking mental well-being apps» December 3, 2026, 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM Enough places available 1 × free The number of mental well-being apps (e.g. mood trackers, meditation apps, support chatbots) is estimated at roughly 20,000 and keeps on increasing. However, these apps rarely consider the needs of neurodivergent users (e.g. autistic people, people with ADHD, or dyslexia), even though this group is more likely to see their well-being negatively affected. Beyond accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.2 for mobile devices, it remains unclear what would make an app truly inclusive for neurodivergent users specifically. In this presentation, Dr. Oriane Pierrès (postdoctoral researcher at the UZH Digital Society Initiative) will present her research on better understanding what makes a well-being app neuroinclusive. In her 40-minute presentation, she will explain why this topic matters and discuss existing recommendations and solutions. The audience will then have 20 minutes to ask questions. Total free
