Description

With «Ethnosphere: Of Land and Memory», Nigerian artist Emeka Ogboh presents an electro-acoustic outdoor sound installation at the Ethnographic Museum of the University of Zurich.

The work combines archival recordings from the museum with contemporary sound design. Voices, work songs, natural sounds and poetic fragments are woven together into a soundscape that reflects on cultural memory, labour, landscape and the relationship between humans and nature.

The installation invites visitors to experience the archive as a living space of resonance: sounds from different contexts enter into dialogue with the garden environment and open up new forms of listening.

Vernissage
